I’m finally getting Crafty Anarchy going again after ignoring it for the last 10 years. I tried multiple times in the last few years to bring it back but so much life has happened that I haven’t been mentally prepared to do it. I hope this time to stick to writing this thing much better than I did 10 years ago.
The main reason I convinced myself to start this again is that I have decided to join the challenge on Ravelry to complete 50 projects this year. I figured that if I make myself post about my progress in the challenge that I would have a reason to keep this thing going. You, my readers, are my accountability buddies. I hope to provide some small amount of entertainment, as well as some insight into how easy or difficult the projects I make are. Currently I have 2 different projects I’m working on.
The first project is The Wandering Arches Scarf. It is a really simple, yet beautiful pattern. I am making it in Bernat Cashmere Natural Blends in the Rain colorway. It is a super soft cashmere blend that is becoming a beautiful soft scarf. I am currently about 66% finished with it.
The second project is the Meandering Paw Prints Skinny Scarf. I’m making it for my almost 6-year-old son. It is a really cute playful scarf that is the perfect width for a small child. I’m making it with a beautiful marled brown and grey yarn that my friend Alisha bought for me at a thrift store. Based on the texture of the yarn I would say that it is some sort of cotton blend. I am currently about 50% finished with it.
When I am through with the projects I intend to post pictures, as well as a link to the Raverly page that details how long it took me to make them, the yarn I used and the hook or needle sizes that I made the project with. For now I need to get back to crafting and taking care of the rambunctious 5-year-old that is my son.
